Life Size Master Yoda from The Empire Strikes Back

Two weeks ago, while waiting for a meeting to surprise a friend, my colleagues and I had discussion about Star Wars and Lord of the Ring. We were conversing about our enthusiasm, fandom of these two. One of them was a huge Star Wars fan. He had quite some collections. The other one was a Lord of the Rings fan, and we had some similar characteristics. And I....  *indecisive* I'm actually into Lord of the Rings more than Star Wars. But I adore Master Yoda for his wise words, perhaps for his green skin :D

Here is Life Size Master Yoda from The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars V, that I made in 32.5 hours. He's literally my roommate now.

Framed, Master Yoda and I

I can dye my hair now like Luke. My life is almost complete!
Probably going to watch Star Wars,  Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit back-to-back. Yay or nay?

A Bouquet

A Bouquet.

I always love the sound of it. In lyrics or writings or when people say it. Here it is, a bouquet of flowers.
Today's topic is colors experiment. So far, I was VERY comfortable with dark colors, black, grey, and white. Whenever I tried bright colors, eventually it turned dark. Gradually, it became darker and darker. Friends and lecturer were saying the same thing when there was a presentation. I was am a dark person. Dark force within me. Haha. Happy Sunday, people!

Random Pictures (That I Promised)

This is actually the first caricature that I've drawn and the first time I've drawn digitally.
Somehow I struggled so much since I don't have any drawing tablet. Long live Trackpad!
*my cousin always shakes his head everytime he sees me working with Adobe Products*
He said, "I've never known anyone who's so expert using trackpad than mouse or tablet..."

I'm feeling happy somehow... Awkward at the same time? Haha!

Next is TOP from Big Bang! Go Big Bang Go! Pens

This is a hatch drawing using all black technical pens that I had (that are already broken or else, and I still keep them). I really love hatch drawing. Messy. Tension. Passion. There's an extensive sensation whenever you mark a line. Line by line. The thickness. Deepness. Can you feel it?

Talking about Big Bang. I was am still a Big Bang fan, but not really a huge one.
See... I have this tendency to adore all musician(s), actor(s), and artist(s) related during their debut time. They were not really famous, yet I felt there are something there. There's something big will happen to them. And, boom! They are famous in an instant! Instant noodle! Perhaps I have an instinct to know who's going to stay long enough in this artistic industry... Haha! *Self-pleasing*
Move on... After the fame has covered the entire world, I will find other underground artists. And the adoration level to the pretty infamous icons is still there or decreasing a little bit. It depends, really. When the marketing gets really involved, my heart just fractures slowly. Slowly, it is.

Well, well. Why I'm talking about this tendency. Actually, this drawing was intended for a friend who really adores TOP. Her working desk was full with TOP Pictures. And, she just infected us with TOP Virus by sticking the pictures everywhere! My little red book. My desk. My computer. Infectious! Miss her madness!

Cartoon drawing of Spongebob Squarepants and a friend. Mixed Media

She's really a huge fan of Spongebob! Oops! I just realized we are at the age of a quarter century. Yeah, and we're still in love with cartoons. Best people ever!
Drawing cartoon was pretty fun with the color and that mad funny eyes. Expression, of course! When drawing one, you'll learn a lot about expression, movement, how to make an attitude. Getting mad, happy, sad. Feeling stupid. It was pretty much learning how to make expressions using your face. Yea, I look funny and stupid making a lot of looks and doing some sounds in front of mirror. My mom just looked at me. Shook her head. I was pretty much learning how to act! Haha! That what makes a cartoon is so interesting. And the hilarious nonsense!

Next! Woman in Blue with Flowers. Markers

I really want to know how it feels to use marker as a media. The color is amazing! Sketching with markers is seeing a world in a vibrant brand new vision. As a black and white avid, I was, colors are a stepping stone to see a new horizon. See it?

Last one, Daily. Watercolor, ink, pen.

It's a drawing of middle-aged man and his colleague working in a coffee shop (kopitiam). You'll find this scenery everywhere, everyday in Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Don't you think they are really great? To work in a small space with a lot of plates and glasses in front of them. I'm sure I'll break some. There's fellowship between one person and others. Not breaking any glassware when the movement is limited due to compact area. Where the steam is there. And the flow is absolutely solid.
Good flow, good drink. I missed that one kopitiam where I always chatted with the nice uncle and auntie there.

Woman with Umbrella Illustration

I just finished this half-done old drawing on my organized desk.
Wasn't it great to suddenly obtain old things under you bed, inside books or folder or boxes, under you pillow, or inside your... old briefcase that happened to be located at a hidden place?
The sensation of dicovering a precious treasure (A drawing means a lot to me)...
Oh! And that memorable hurtful dark & happy reminiscence...

#4 Saturday Fool

Saturday, 8 October 2507

Hey people! It’s weekend already! Who doesn’t love weekends? I dislike weekend. They are days full of boastful customers from There. I’d be glad asking you to come here over the weekend and join the blathering group. Actually it’s a good opportunity to extend your circle and be updated with the latest There’s gossips.
 ---
For the past few days, I was still looking for the stone’s owner. I had checked the customer list and called some of them. I had no clue at all whose the owner. What’s more, I encountered some bizarre moments. Lately the other world had filled my mind whether from dreams or some hallucinations. Falling from the cliff, flying through the rainbow, breathing in the the deep sea, or being a lone blind in the desert were my everyday visions. Perhaps the cause was coming from that mysterious stone (#3 The Stone).

This morning I heard a whispered voice coming from the stone; it was vaguely calming. Mind me for being an ignorant on Saturday, I didn’t recognize any words at all. I thought keeping the stone in the drawer might be a good idea if I wanted to stay away from the stone’s illusion force. It was a mistake! While changing customer’s hands, I experienced the vision of living cables; they were trying to reach my mouth. It was a horrible moment; I couldn’t breathe for a while and looked silly in front of customer.

The day was ended surreally. Most of the customers gazed at me as if I did something wrong... Well, I did something wrong but it was because of that strange illusions. Al also looked at me profoundly. It was the first time I saw his expression with that round eyes. I was too tired to think of what was happening today... While I went to my bedroom, I found this boy...

Fainted Boy, 8 October 2507

Who was he?

Note:
So, today was my first day of working. It was the honeymoon phase. I was still learning about this and that. And, I think I’ve been somehow brainwashed with some theories. I’ve drowned into the actual reality. I was blinded for a while for living. Somehow I don’t know what living is. Perhaps that’s why people would like to shorten their life. No matter how I wonder what life is... I’m still searching for the answer. So far, I’d love to define life as a striving of achieving one’s dream, a challenge to survive with the beloved ones,  or a cake for a high cholesterol person. Hmm... Possibly?
For the next chapters, I may compress the words and draw more, since it’s easier for me to express my feelings through pictures... In some ways, the boy is representing my inner soul. I will talk about the boy next chapters. Happy Monday there!
